IntelliSource can provide professional services with a dedicated team to provide your organisation with a structured cabling environment ready for the future.

Network Cabling
We recognize now more than ever that bandwidth and throughput are critical to business today. IntelliSource provides network infrastructure solutions, which support your needs now and in the future.

We have many years experience of large scale infrastructure design and installation. We provide a wide range of design, implementation and project management services for small to medium projects. In all cases a range of high quality market-leading structured cabling systems are available, supported by incomparable service from experienced and professional teams.

We have followed the significant development in the capabilities of copper based systems to Gigabit and Category 6 solutions, as well as emerging 10 Gigabit over copper solutions. Where fibre is concerned we are fully conversant with OM1, OM2, OM3 building multimode fibres and long haul OS1 single mode fibre.

Solutions

  • Cat 5 cabling
  • Cat-5 cable, sometimes called Ethernet cable, is short for Category 5 cable, a current industry standard for network and telephone wiring. Cat-5 cable is unshielded wire containing four pairs of 24-gauge twisted copper pairs, terminating in an RJ-45 jack. If a wire is certified as Cat-5 and not just a twisted pair wire, it will have "Cat-5" printed on the shielding.
  • Cat 5e cabling
  • Cat-5e is enhanced Cat-5 cable that supports 1000 mbps or gigabit Ethernet, or it can be used with 100 Base-T networks for long-distance runs of 1150 feet (350 meters).
  • Cat 6a cabling
  • Cat 6, short for Category 6, is a cable standard used mainly for Ethernet computer networking, security systems, and telephone services. Cat 6 cable is backward compatible with the Cat 5, Cat 5E, and Cat 3 cable standards. Category 6 cable is capable of transmitting voice and data up to 155 Mbps (mega bits per second), with a possible transmission frequencies up to 550 MHz.
  • Cat 7 cabling
  • Category 7 cable (CAT7), (ISO / IEC 11801:2002 category 7/class F), is a cable standard for Ultra Fast Ethernet and other interconnect technologies that can be made to be backwards compatible with traditional CAT5 and CAT6 Ethernetcable.

CAT 7 features even more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise then CAT6. To achieve this, shielding has been added for individual wire pairs and the cable as a whole.

The CAT 7 cable standard has been created to allow 10-gigabit Ethernet over 100 m of copper cabling.

The cable contains four twisted copper wire pairs, just like the earlier standards.

CAT 7 can be terminated in RJ-45 compatible GG45 electrical connectors which incorporate the RJ-45 standard, and a new type of connection to enable a smoother migration to the new standard.

  • 10 Gig Fibre
  • 10G Ethernet is IEEE 802.3ae. 10G fibre optic cables are developed for these applications. To make it easy to identify, people use the special color Aqua for this 10g fibre optic cables, it is different from the traditional orange color multimode fibre cables.
