Multitouch – Taking collaboration to new heights Now up to four students can collaborate without boundaries using four-touch interactivity. Students can use their fingers or a pen to write, draw and interact with content on the surface of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard, or two students working together can each use natural multitouch gestures. This means that they can spend more time collaborating and less time waiting for their turn to work on the interactive surface. And there are no special tools or menus required – students can simply walk up to the SMART Board interactive whiteboard and immediately begin working together. Freestyle interaction– Expanding the boundaries of learning With freestyle interaction, four students can work together anywhere on the surface without being restricted to a defined space or required to use a specific tool. And each can perform different actions at the same time – for example, two students can move objects around whilst another writes in digital ink. Touch gestures – Putting the world at their fingertips Using multitouch gestures, groups of students can interact with lesson content in new and exciting ways, which gives them a deeper, more interactive learning experience. They can use intuitive gestures such as toss, rotate and zoom, or use the gestures available with multitouch operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows 7 or Mac Snow Leopard. Object awareness – Making it easy to interact The object awareness feature makes using the 800 series a completely intuitive experience – the technology is virtually invisible. You can switch seamlessly between writing with a pen, erasing with the palm of your hand and moving objects with your fingers. There's no need to press buttons, access on-screen menus or replace tools in the Pen Tray. Access to a rich collection of learning resources Teachers can access free, ready-to-use educational resources, including thousands of standards-correlated SMART Notebook lesson activities, anytime on the SMART Exchange website. They can also access multimedia content, including videos and 3D images, in the gallery of SMART Notebook collaborative learning software. Freestyle interaction :-Two people can instantly start working individually or together to complete actions such as writing in digital ink or moving objects with their fingers. It's perfect for freestyle collaboration and brainstorming. Touch gestures:- Our interactive displays offer the familiar experience of other touch-enabled devices. They make it easy to work with content in an extraordinarily natural way using simple, intuitive hand and finger gestures, including one- and two-finger navigational gestures like panning and flicking pages, and object gestures like zoom, toss and rotate. They also support touch gestures found in Microsoft Windows 7. Accessible collaboration features:- All the tools that you need to interact are right at your fingertips. The pens and eraser are conveniently located at the front of the interactive whiteboard or flat panel and you can also access buttons to select the colour, launch the On-Screen Keyboard and use the right-click and help functions. You can connect USB devices and switch between them easily, and volume controls are located at the front for quick access. Superior image quality :- Each system includes an ultra-short-throw projector that virtually eliminates distracting shadows and glare. These HD-ready projectors display crisp and bright content in 720p resolution for viewers from almost every position in the room. SMART Meeting Pro software:- SMART Meeting Pro software offers advanced collaboration tools, virtually unlimited whiteboarding space and the ability to capture images and write notes over any application using SMART Ink. This intuitive software is also integrated with Microsoft Exchange to streamline your meetings and allow quick distribution of meeting notes. Support for multiple displays:- Connect up to eight interactive whiteboards and flat panels to a single computer. Users can write simultaneously and share content and applications by “pushing” them to any of the connected interactive displays. SMART GoWire auto-launch cable:- Connect a guest laptop to the interactive whiteboard and you can run SMART Meeting Pro software with no installation required. It’s perfect for workspaces that are not network-enabled or where guest laptops are frequently connected. Network-enabled projector:- As a networked interactive whiteboard system, the 800 series has asset management features that enable you to control and manage the projector remotely.
